U TURN - The Schoeller Allibert Magazine

Contact us
Get in touchWe're very excited to welcome you to this new magazine from Schoeller Allibert, designed as a way to reach out to all our clients, employees and other stakeholders. We want to update you on our company and our progress. Most of all we want to inform you about how we can contribute to your ambitions and performance, and at the same time to our collective impact on the environment and society.
Plastic packaging still has a difficult reputation in many people’s eyes, but this is mainly because of single use plastics. Our products can be used again and again, for as long as 10 to 15 years, and after that can then be 100% recycled. We’ve been talking about this for many years now, and I am very proud that we have recently published our first report to underpin this claim. Besides our sustainability strategy, our goals and especially our carbon footprint, this report also collates independent research that convincingly demonstrates that ‘plastic packaging truly is too good to waste’.
There is even more in this magazine that we are very happy to share with you, for instance the news that our rental offer - Schoeller Allibert Services - has been well-received and continues to grow, a solution that is sustainable in itself. At the same time we are dealing with the consequences of events around us, such as the ongoing pandemic and the conflict in Ukraine. Read more to discover how we are dealing with these kinds of challenges.
The latest news is that our CEO Ludo Gielen has stepped down from his position. In the last 25 years he has led our company, strengthened it and succesfully built the rental business. His passion for our purpose - enriching logistics with innovative and sustainable plastic packaging - will be missed. So, in his words: let's get rid of single use packaging!
